We have the privilege of sharing time with some truly fascinating seniors. And because they are kind enough to allow us to share their homes and daily lives, we’ve learned about their triumphs and challenges, adventures, sources of love, inspiration and joy.
We wanted to share some of their stories.
Eighteen college students responded to our Highgrove at Tates Creek Scholarship challenge: to interview and write a brief narrative about one of our residents. Some special friendships were formed in the process and it was a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Sharon Hammer’s essay on Pricilla was declared the winner and she was awarded a $2500 scholarship on behalf of the residents and staff of Highgrove.
We hope you’ll enjoy learning a little more about the residents we know and love.
